Featured Studio: Union Yoga Co
Union Yoga Co is a special space in Everett, WA. You can find them consistently offering great workshops and events for those in the area — many of which can be found in our event listing on North PNW Yoga. Different from other studios, several of their events are available to their members for free by offering them as “extension classes.” This gives their members an opportunity to access new experiences and deepen their practice.
Union Yoga Co also offers unique classes and retreats featuring their Rogue offering that will help you add some variety to your practice. At the end of the day, Union is all about building community around shared experiences.

Location: Everett, WA

What was the inspiration behind the studio?
The original owner bravely opened the studio in July of 2020, mid-pandemic. She named it Union in honor of the proud history of labor Unions in Everett, as well as symbolic of the “union” between breath and body in yoga. Tanya and Cal purchased the studio in August of 2022. Their inspiration was to build and grow the community at the studio through not only yoga, but special classes, events and retreats that offer a safe space for their community to come together in friendship, laughter and strength. During the pandemic, so many people were isolated and alone. They love family and a community-feel at the studio. They want to cultivate the kind of atmosphere where students know that when they show up for class, someone really cares that they are there. That they are surrounded by like-minded, friendly yogis in the room that share in laughter, love of yoga and are ready to support them thru the good, bad, and truly challenging trials of life both on and off the mat.

What kind of students would resonate with your studio?
Students who enjoy a little creativity in our practice. Every yogi was a beginner at one time. We all start somewhere. We encourage our instructors to be creative and shine with their own unique style. That goes the same for the kind of student that will resonate with the culture at Union. We want people to not be afraid to try yoga. We often hear the excuse, “I’m not flexible / strong enough to do yoga.” This is missing the point; you get more flexible and gain strength by practicing yoga. And you learn so much about yourself by embarking on the journey into your forward fold, your challenging inversion, your arm balance or your warrior pose. That’s where the real magic of yoga begins… it’s what you learn about yourself once you actually begin.
Join us and experience the community at Union Yoga Co. for yourself. The New Student Special is the most competitive introductory offer around: $25 for two weeks of unlimited yoga. Try out as many classes and as many instructors as you can in two weeks.
